Jann Anderegg was born as the son of a watchmaking mother in Toggenburg, Switzerland.
After working in different positions on various film and TV projects, he studied film editing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg.
Since completing his studies he has edited numerous fictional and documentary feature films, including DIE THEORIE VON ALLEM by Timm Kröger, which premiered in the Main Competition of Venice 2023.
He also edited 2018 BAFTA winner LATE SHIFT by Tobias Weber, the world's first cinematic interactive movie. He is a member of the European and Swiss Film Academy.
In 2020 he receives the Swiss Film Award for the Best Film Editing of BAGHDAD IN MY SHADOW by Samir.
He lives and works in Zurich and Berlin.
